About Technovation South Korea
Technovation Girls South Korea is the South Korean chapter of the global program Technovation Girls, a platform where girls aged 8 to 18 tackle social issues by developing innovative projects using technology. This program goes beyond a simple competition, offering a unique experience where future women leaders can cultivate their creativity and technical skills while making a real-world impact.
With over 34,000 participants from more than 100 countries, you can be part of this global community and turn your ideas into reality. With Technovation Girls South Korea, your small idea can become a powerful force that changes the world. We're actively working to grow the South Korean chapter, creating more opportunities for girls across the country to participate and thrive.
Program Details
Technovation Korea is an exciting initiative that empowers young women to become changemakers through technology. If you're passionate about solving real-world problems, Technovation Korea invites you to sign up and be part of this transformative program. Participants will work in teams to create mobile apps that address critical social issues, such as climate change, mental health, and education, with guidance from experienced mentors.
Participants will have the opportunity to be selected and contacted for participation in this life-changing journey. If you're interested in being part of a community of innovators and making a positive impact on the world, this is your chance to showcase your creativity and technical skills.
2025–2026 Technovation Girls Season
Eligibility
Technovation Girls is a global technology and entrepreneurship education program that empowers girls aged 8 to 18 to become leaders and innovators. Through the program, participants form teams to identify real-world problems in their communities and build mobile apps or AI-based solutions to address them. Each year, teams from around the world submit their projects to the Technovation Girls international competition, where top teams are selected as finalists and invited to showcase their work at the global Technovation World Summit. The competition not only builds technical and entrepreneurial skills but also inspires confidence and global collaboration.
Age
Participants must be girls or gender minorities aged 10 to 18.
Team Composition
Teams can consist of 1 to 5 members.
Commitment
Teams must commit time to their projects, including workshops and training sessions.
Experience
No prior programming or app development experience is required.
Competition Timeline
Join the Technovation Girls Global Competition and take part in a transformative journey. While participation in the global competition is optional, many of our participants enjoy the challenge!
Technovation Girls Global Competition Timeline
The Technovation Girls South Korea program follows the global Technovation Girls timeline, with various activities taking place over approximately six months. From team formation and mentor registration to final project submission, participants grow step by step throughout the program. During the program, participants will engage in regular workshops and educational sessions. Through these sessions, they will learn app development skills, how to build a business model, and how to improve effective presentation skills.
Additionally, participants will gain practical experience by working on real-world projects under the guidance of mentors.
- October 11, 2025 - March 17, 2026: Team Formation and Mentor Registration
- March 18, 2026 - May 4, 2026: Project Development Period
- May 7, 2026: Project Submission: Deadline
- May - June 2026: Judging and Finals
Technovation Girls South Korea National Judging
Along with the global awards, Technovation Girls South Korea will present national awards to celebrate and support participants who performed well, as a national award. The judging criteria and grading process are the same as those used for the global awards.
- May 7, 2026: Submission deadline for all South Korean Technovation participants.
- June 5, 2026: The results of Technovation Girls South Korea will be sent to the email addresses of mentors and participants.
Starting next season, we plan to introduce regional events to further expand access and foster local collaboration throughout South Korea.
